Casual Use of The Centre

James TeachingBefore you can use the climbing wall independently as a casual user you must be registered as a member. You do not need to be a registered member to attend one of our courses.

When you are using the wall as a casual user the casual entry prices apply, please see the price list page. You can also purchase monthly and yearly memberships.

In addition to what is stated below all climbers at The Tower Climbing Centre must read through and accept our Terms and Conditions of Use before climbing.

Adult Memberships

There are two types of adult memberships.

Bouldering Only Member

Any adult (over the age of 18) can sign up to become a bouldering only member for free, all you need to do is fill out a registration form and complete a safety induction with one of our staff.

As a bouldering only member you can supervise two junior guests each time that you visit.

You do not need to book in for this, you can just turn up anytime to do this, however it is worthwhile giving us a call at weekends to double check this as we can be busy.

Full Climbing Member

As a full climbing member you can use any part of the roped climbing or bouldering area of the Tower. You can also sign in up to 2 novice guests with you when you come, these can be juniors or adults.

Signing up to be a member is free all you need to be able to do is pass a competency test to show you can put on a harness, tie onto the rope using a suitable climbing knot and belay safely, you also need to fill out a registration form.

If you can not do these things already then our 4 week adult beginner course is for you, see our other courses page or contact us for information.

You do not need to book in for this, you can just turn up anytime to do this, however it is worthwhile giving us a call at weekends to double check this as we can be busy.
